Kate Sheldon is a freshman at Princeton University studying astrophysics and chemistry. She intends to work in astrobiology and astrochemistry and study the origins of life. Kate is just starting her academic journey, but previously interned with Jayich Lab at UCSB to code a Tray Launcher. During a different side project she studied qubits and ion traps. Kate is currently working on a group project to redesign and standardize absolute beam monitors to help test space instruments with the Princeton Space Physics Lab. She is an aspiring astronaut, as well as a cross country runner, soccer player and voracious science fiction reader.
Kate intends to turn yesterday’s science fiction into tomorrow’s science fact.
