Agnostic Life Finding Association – MARS
The ALFA Mars community advocates for the development of an instrument to seek Martians that may be living today.
ALFA Mars is a project of the Agnostic Life Finding Association, supported by an international group of scientists, engineers, communicators, and volunteers who share a common goal: to search for life on Mars before the first human landing.
This initiative is backed by organizations such as the Mars Society, Czech Mars Society, Viking Mars Missions Education and Preservation Project, and the Foundation for Applied Molecular Evolution who is currently developing the Agnostic Life Finder (ALF) instrument.
The ALFA Mars initiative advocates for sending a specialized instrument to Mars to autonomously concentrate and purify genetic polymers, including possible alien DNA analog, from Martian water which must be remotely accessed before the first human landing.
This proposed instrument, the Agnostic Life Finder (ALF), is currently being developed by scientists at the Foundation for Applied Molecular Evolution. It is designed to analyze any collected genetic material on-site using advanced molecular detection technologies.
